Terms & conditions
These terms explain how Zolaya works for customers who book appointments and for the beauty and wellness businesses that use our software.
Last updated 17 August 2026. Zolaya is owned and operated by Trident Marketing & Technologies Inc.. Card payments for Zolaya are handled by RYDR Global, which is the name that appears on your bank or card statement.
1. Who we are
Zolaya is a booking marketplace and business operating system for Caribbean beauty and wellness professionals. The platform is owned and operated by Trident Marketing & Technologies Inc. ("Zolaya", "we", "us"). By creating an account, booking an appointment or listing a business, you agree to these terms.
2. Zolaya is a booking platform, not the service provider
Treatments and services are delivered by independent businesses and professionals listed on Zolaya. They set their own prices, availability, staff, standards and cancellation policies. Zolaya facilitates discovery, scheduling, communication and payment; we are not the provider of the treatment and are not a party to the service agreement between you and the business.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or have consent from a parent or guardian) to hold an account.
- Accounts are verified by a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure — anyone with it can access your bookings.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide, including your name, WhatsApp number and email.
- Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, staff permissions, pricing, service durations and opening hours.
4. Bookings
- A booking is confirmed when it appears in your Zolaya account and you receive a confirmation email.
- Some businesses require a deposit or full prepayment to hold the slot. The amount is shown before you pay.
- Businesses may reschedule or decline a booking (for example due to illness or staff availability). You will be notified and any prepayment is refunded in full unless you agree to an alternative time.
- Arriving late may shorten your treatment or count as a no-show under the business's policy.
5. Payments and statement descriptor
Card payments made on Zolaya are handled by RYDR Global. This means your bank or card statement will show RYDR Global rather than "Zolaya" or the name of the business you booked. Please check for that descriptor before reporting an unrecognised charge.
Prices may be displayed in your chosen currency for convenience, but all card transactions are settled in Barbados dollars (BBD). Your card issuer may apply its own conversion rate or foreign transaction fee.
6. Fees for businesses
- The core Zolaya Business OS is free to use. Zolaya Pro is an optional subscription at BBD $19 per storefront per month.
- Card processing is 4.9% + BBD $0.50 per successful transaction.
- A marketplace new-client fee of 10%, capped at BBD $25, applies when a brand-new client discovers and books a business through the Zolaya marketplace. Repeat bookings carry no new-client fee.
- Full current pricing is published on the pricing page. We will give notice before any change takes effect.
7. Payouts
Funds collected from customers are held by Trident Marketing & Technologies Inc. and released to businesses on request, less applicable fees and any refunds or chargebacks. Businesses must supply accurate bank details and may be asked to verify their identity or ownership of the business before a payout is released. Payout requests are subject to a minimum balance and to review for fraud and compliance.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, deposits, late-cancellation fees, no-show fees and refunds are governed by our refund & cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Acceptable use
- Do not use Zolaya for anything unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or discriminatory.
- Do not make speculative or fake bookings, manipulate reviews, or scrape the platform.
- Do not attempt to bypass Zolaya to avoid marketplace fees on clients introduced through the marketplace.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, and withhold funds connected to fraud or chargeback abuse.
10. Content and reviews
Businesses keep ownership of the logos, photos and descriptions they upload and grant Zolaya a licence to display them on the platform and in marketing for the platform. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes someone else's rights.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trident Marketing & Technologies Inc. is not liable for the quality, safety, legality or outcome of any treatment booked through the platform, and our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid through Zolaya for that booking. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the platform evolves; the "last updated" date above will change and continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of Barbados, and the courts of Barbados have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your own country of residence.
